Waysata is a tech company that focuses on creating a business ecosystem that facilitates their partners’ growth through digital marketing– for free. 

Through its own digital ecosystem called Digital Booster Marketrend (DBM), Waysata helps over 300 partners, merchants, and sellers grow through digital marketing activities such as: website development, social media branding, building of Google Business profile, as well as digital analysis through Google Analytics and Waysata’s internal tools. 

At first, Waysata focused on helping the tour and travel sector digiltalize their business, in an effort to help them recover from the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. But now, they are also diversifying into the Event sector, which has started to pick up in Yogyakarta and Central

Waysata’s challenges

Following the sharp decline due to the Covid-19 pandemic, many local industry players are still stuck with the old way of doing business offline, such as offering offline tickets and hoping for visitors to come directly to them. 

This is not a viable and sustainable way to recovery, as digital adoption–including digital purchases and payments–have skyrocketed over the course of pandemic. So, Waysata wants to bridge this gap and help business owners to innovate and digitalize their business to capture the increasingly digital-savvy crowd.

To do this, Waysata needed to overcome two challenges:

  • Accepting payments: As a digital, tech-based company, Waysata needs to have a credible payment gateway to make online ticket purchases easier for end customers by offering with a wide range of online payment options.
  • Disbursing funds to partners: After collecting payments, Waysata also needs to disburse partners’ share of the proceeds to them. Disbursing manually is a painful, unproductive process fraught with delays and poor user experience. So, Waysata also needed to look for an easy, productive way to disburse these funds.

Xendit’s solutions for Waysata’s innovative business

Accepting payments

Waysata has been using Xendit as a payment gateway since 2021, offering payment methods such as Virtual Account, E-Wallet, and QRIS.

End customers can easily pay with the payment methods they like and trust the most, so they are more likely to complete their transactions.  Waysata’s partners have, on average, increased their revenue by 87% during the recovery period after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Disbursing funds to partners

Integrating with Xendit’s disbursement, Waysata built its platform to allow partners to withdraw their funds independently, anytime they like. This makes for a productive and pleasant experience both for Waysata staff and its partners.

“Xendit’s disbursement is probably the easiest disbursement system compared to other competitors. It’s very simple and useful because it can be adjusted as needed. We use it a lot to help partners withdraw balances, generate invoices, and many more.”

Future plans

As Waysata continues to grow and innovate, the company is looking forward to expanding its business and helping more partners by targeting destinations outside Java, such as Bali. Besides continuing to work with Xendit as its digital payments partner, Waysata is also exploring other Xendit solutions, such as xenPlatform, which can help it better manage partners, payments, and transfers at scale.
